Business Publication #2 - BBC News

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8257032.stm

In BBC News' article, "Cash for clunkers boosts US sales," the US automotive industry saw an increase in sales because of the "Cash for Clunkers" idea. The idea was to have consumers buy more new vehicles and get rid of their old. The program had to end when the funding for it ran out in August, which makes some people skeptical that the market will continue to rise. Instead, they believe that the only reason the market rose was due to the program, and because it is over, the market will decline as it had in the previous months. I am pessimistic that the automotive industry is going to be increasing anytime soon, I fear that the market will continue to fall until new innovations are brought forth and utilized for struggling Americans.
